Denver Broncos training camp begins, fans eager to see new QB Russell Wilson in action
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (KRDO) -- Wednesday the Denver Broncos kicked off training camp at team headquarters. During day one, all eyes were on quarterback Russell Wilson.
Fans were able to finally see their new star quarterback, coming from the Seattle Seahawks, in person. Fans camped out overnight just to be able to see him on day one of training camp.
When he came out of the locker room Wednesday he was greeted with loud cheers. Willson said he was excited to see the fans and be there for his first practice as a Bronco.
In return, Wilson went over to the fans and gave everyone in the front row a high-five.
Wilson said he lives his life by the three F's: Football, Family, and Faith.
His teammates said that he is not only a great player but a great person and Willson makes them want to elevate themselves to be better.
Before he threw the first pass, he made sure to give his kids and wife, pop superstar Ciara, a hug. When asked if his wife will be a regular at training camp, he said while she might not be at every practice, she'll be there a lot, that's for sure.
