Pueblo Fire rescued two people trapped under a bridge due to flooding

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- First responders were working to get two people stuck under a bridge free in Pueblo County.

The incident occurred on 24th and Tuxedo on the west side of Pueblo.

At this time, both parties are out. They were stuck due to the flooding in the area.

Estrella Chacon Martinez and Matthew Robert Montez were stuck in flash flood . They are both 22 years old.

They told KRDO that they were exploring the area when the water started to come quickly and they knew they were in trouble.

Montez told KRDO that he believed he was going to die moments before first responders showed up.
