Two killed in crash in Conejos County
CONEJOS CO., Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado State Patrol (CSP) is investigating a single-vehicle crash that left two people dead in Conejos County Wednesday.
CSP says that just after 3 p.m., a tan 2005 Ford Explorer was traveling westbound on County Road 15, west of Highway 285, approximately 8 miles southwest of Alamosa. That's when investigators say the driver lost control on a curve, then rolled over once when the driver overcorrected.
Three people were inside the Explorer at the time of the crash. They were all ejected from the vehicle because they were not wearing their seatbelts.
Two people were declared deceased at the scene. The other person was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Alamosa with moderate injuries.
