Colorado Springs Fire Department is on a rescue at Garden of the Gods

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is at Garden of the Gods on a three-person rescue.

Three people are stuck on the Kissing Camels rock formation, according to the CSFD.

CSFD is working to get them down quickly since lightning is a concern.

According to CSFD, there are no reported injuries.

CSFD says that climbing anything over ten feet requires a permit. Climbers also need to have the proper gear. These climbers did have a permit.

According to CSFD, these climbers did not have the proper gear and were hiking at a higher level than their abilities. CSFD says that not having proper climbing gear is a violation of their permit.

CSFD says they have all individuals safely on the ground.
