Stack of mattresses catch fire at Val U Stay Inn & Suites Monday night

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A stack of mattresses caught fire at Val U Stay Inn & Suites.

Monday night, the fire broke out on the backside building of the motel, according to Pueblo Fire Protector, Erik Duran.

Firefighters put out the flames within 15-20 minutes after Pueblo Fire Department arrived to the scene.

Duran says all occupied rooms were untouched by the flames. However, two unoccupied rooms received smoke and water damage.

No injuries were reported.

The cause to the fire remains under investigation.
