NFL football player JoJo Domann returns to Pro Football Camp in hometown

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)-- On Tuesday morning, JoJo Domann was at John Venezia Community Park and back at Pro Football Camp.

"It was the best. It was camp week, having personal interactions with these pro athletes, them knowing my name, them messing with me, them throwing me footballs," said Domman.

It's a full-circle moment for the Colorado Springs native. This year he's back as one of those pros. Tuesday kicked off the 17th Annual Pro Foot Camp. It's a chance for kids in the community to learn from current and former NFL players.

Domann graduated from Pine Creek High School, played college football and the University of Nebraska, and is now a member of the Indianapolis Colts. He signed as an undrafted free agent back in May.

"There’s just more work to be done right like I’ve got to make the 53. If it’s not in Indy it will be somewhere else and understand that it’s a process and it’s a business, so just controlling what I can control and allowing God and the universe to take care of the rest," said Domann.

Domann's journey is one that kids at camp are inspired by.

"My dream is to make it into the pros and play with other good players," said Mark Zehl, a camper.

Domann hopes that no matter what the camper's dreams are, he can serve as an example for the next generation.

"You know just hopefully I serve as an inspiration to these kids that if they really want to do it they can. I was literally one of them looking up to these players year after year and what do you know, enough work enough sweat, enough sacrifice, and dedication," said Domann.
