Brush Fire in the area of the Florissant Fossil Beds

TELLER COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Teller County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) says that the fire department is responding to smoke in the area of the Fossil Beds.

TCSO says that crews have contained the fire and that it was caused by a lightning strike.

TCSO remarked that the fire was very small and was helped kept small by the rain.

Smoke in the area of the Fossil Beds just north of CME. Fire Depts. are on scene working a brush fire. Please do not call 911.
