Glenwood Canyon is temporarily closed

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado State Patrol (CSP) has temporarily closed Glenwood Canyon eastbound between Glenwood Springs and Dotsero.

The closure is due to an overturned semi.

CSP says the detour will be highways 13, 40, and 9. They ask drivers to have patience and say to enjoy the scenic route.

CSP estimates that the road will be open six to eight hours after the crash.
