Man dead following motorcycle crash in northeast Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A man is dead following a motorcycle crash in northeast Colorado Springs.
On June 24, the Falcon Division from the Colorado Springs Police Department received a report in the intersection of E. Woodmen Rd. and Campus Drive. about a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and truck, just after 3:30 p.m.
At the scene, police learned that the motorcycle was traveling East on E. Woodmen Rd. and a truck was traveling West. Police say as the truck proceeded to make a left turn onto Campus Drive, the motorcyclist attempted to brake. As the motorcyclist attempted to stop, they were ejected from the motorcycle.
Police say the motorcyclist died from his injuries at the scene despite receiving medical treatment from Colorado Springs Fire Department and American Medical Response.
On June 27, the El Paso County Coroner's Office has identified the motorcyclist to be 21-year-old Keyon Amos.
Police say it's the 23rd deadly traffic crash this year.
