Police investigate shooting near Airport Road

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Police are investigating a reported shooting that left a man shot in East Colorado Springs.

Monday, police received a call of a reported shooting at a business in the 2500 block of Airport Rd., just before 3 a.m.

At the scene, police found a man with gunshot wounds.

Medical personnel responded to the scene to treat the victim before he was transported to a nearby hospital. Police say the victim is in critical condition.

Detectives from the Homicide/Assault Unit are taking over the investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
