Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to visit NORAD with the U.S. Secretary of Defense
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III are set to visit the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Headquarters.
The United States Northern Command confirmed with KRDO Trudeau of Austin will be visiting NORAD Tuesday, June 7. While there, the Department of Defense (DoD) says they'll discuss the ongoing mission to defend the U.S. homeland and space domain.
They'll also be joined by the Canadian Minister of National Defence, Anita Anand.
In a press release, Trudeau said the following regarding the upcoming trip:

The Summit of the Americas is a unique opportunity to work with world leaders in the region to agree on a forward-looking agenda that tackles the challenges of our time, including advancing climate change and promoting democracy. By working together, we can build a better future for people in the Americas and beyond.”
