Colorado Springs Fire holds third week of Town Hall-Living with Wildfire meetings
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Two more Town Hall meetings are happening this week to inform Colorado Springs residents about wildfires specific to the neighborhood they live in.
The meetings are part of a Town Hall Series called Living with Wildfire. CSFD says the Living with Wildfire series "aims to empower the community to be ready if a wildfire happens." The topics discussed at these meetings are:
- How to prepare your home for wildfire
- Creating a wildfire action plan
- Knowing when and how to evacuate
The two meetings this week are for residents who live north of Garden of the Gods, south of Woodmen, and west of I-25 in the following neighborhoods:
- Mountain Shadows
- Pinecliff
- Rockrimmon
- Peregrine
- Woodmen Valley
This week, meetings are being held:
- Tuesday, May 10:
- 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Woodman Valley Chapel – Stone Chapel at 280 E. Woodman Rd., Colorado Springs
- Thursday, May 12:
- 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Foothills Elementary School at 825 Allegheny Dr., Colorado Springs

There have already been two sets of meetings.
