DENVER (AP) — Staff at Denver Public Library’s downtown branch have started assembling bulletin boards and creating blog posts to showcase an unusual collection: various objects found in returned books. Madison Hosack and her colleagues are responsible for checking the condition of books. The Denver Post reports that in the process, they have found all sorts stuff between the pages, including bookmarks from all over the world, doodles, marijuana leaves and even bologna slices. Hosack says each object has a story behind it and creates a kind of connection between readers. Still, she stresses that people should be careful they’re not leaving sensitive personal information inside the books.
