High winds divert multiple flights from DIA to Colorado Springs Airport
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Several flights had to be diverted from Denver International Airport Wednesday due to high winds.
According to officials with the Colorado Springs Airport, seven domestic and two international flights were diverted from DIA as of 4:30 p.m.
At 4:16 p.m., DIA announced the airport had been placed on a "ground stop" due to wind. While flights are still coming in and out of DIA, passengers could experience delays.
