Explosion near downtown Montrose leads to evacuations
MONTROSE, Colo. (KRDO) -- Our Denver news partners confirm an explosion near downtown Montrose caused evacuations Wednesday afternoon.
The Montrose Police Department first reported the incident around 3:30 p.m. Police asked people to avoid the downtown area and use alternate routes.
The 500 to 700 block of Main St. and the 000 block of Townsend Ave. were evacuated due to the incident.
