Markets at Mesa Ridge Parkway in Fountain evacuated after gas line hit

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Safeway off Mesa Ridge Parkway in Fountain shut down Monday afternoon after a reported gas line was hit.

According to the Fountain Police Department, the main gas line was hit, forcing the entire markets at Mesa Ridge Parkway shopping center to evacuate.

Police say Black Hills Energy had been notified.

Around 6:30 p.m., the FPD said the line had been repaired and the stores had been reopened.
