Grass fire burning near Highway 50 and Fortino Blvd.

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Crews battled a grass fire near several businesses off Highway 50 Tuesday afternoon.
According to a KRDO crew at the scene, the fire burned right behind the Rocky Mountain Laser and Surgery Center. As of 1:30 p.m., it appears that nearby structures aren't threatened.
According to the Pueblo Fire Department, the fire began around 1:30 p.m. at a possible homeless camp. Nearby buildings were evacuated. Officials say the wind shifted multiple times, making the fire "a little tricky." However, within a half-hour crews managed to contain a portion of the grass fire.
By 3 p.m., PFD told KRDO the fire was completely out.
Crews say the fire spread to the dry grass and weeds in the area. No injuries have been reported.
