Roads closures in Rocky Mountain National Park due to winter weather

ESTES PARK, Colo. (KRDO) -- Two main roads through Rocky Mountain National Park were closed due to snow.

According to park officials, Trail Ridge Road and Old Fall River Road closed Tuesday evening due to ice and snow accumulation.

The closure happened earlier than anticipated and now cuts the park in half around the continental divide.

Officials say the roads could still open again this year depending on conditions.
