Friday Forecast: Hot and Dry to Start the Weekend
Temperatures will be falling into the mid-50s for Saturday morning. A mild start to an eventual hot day. Highs on Saturday will be rising into the lower to mid 90s for much of Southern Colorado. If Colorado Springs hits 90 degrees Saturday is will be the warmest day of the year so far and the first 90 degree temperature this season.
We shouldn't see any rain on Saturday along the Plains but the higher elevations may see a few afternoon storms that could have thunder and lightning in them. By Sunday, more widespread rain will move into the region as thunderstorms, non-severe, are expected by the afternoon. This will help cool temperatures off just a bit but high will still be in the 80s for many of us.
Next week looks nice and dry from Tuesday to Friday with above normal temperatures expected.
