COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A man is in custody after entering homes, assaulting residents, and hurting two officers.

On Thursday at 2:11 p.m., Colorado Springs police officers received several calls about a man entering homes and assaulting the residents inside.

Police determined the suspect had unlawfully entered several homes in the neighborhood near 600 Pioneer Lane. Police confirmed several of the victims involved in the home invasions were assaulted.

At the scene, the suspect, identified as Christopher McIntyre, refused to obey commands and charged an officer. The officer tased the McIntyre but it was ineffective.

CSPD says it took several officers to take him into custody. Two officers received minor injuries resulting from the suspect's resistive behavior.

The victims received minor non-life-threatening injuries. Both officers involved were treated and released from an area hospital.

No word on what prompted the attacks.
