Construction on County Line Road bridge set to close I-25 overnight May 13

DOUGLAS/EL PASO COUNTIES, Colo. (KRDO) -- Drivers should expect traffic impacts along I-25 at the County Line Road Interchange for reconstruction on the aging County Line Road bridge.

CDOT says the bridgework requires an overnight closure of northbound and southbound I-25 at the County Line Road Interchange.

That strip of I-25 will be closed from 8 p.m. on Thursday until 5 a.m. on Friday. Drivers say the traffic impacts could begin as early as 7 p.m. on Thursday.

CDOT says detours will be available for motorists.

For the northbound I-25 closure, drivers can funnel into one lane just south of the County Line Road bridge and use the northbound I-25 off-and-on ramps at County Line Road to navigate around the closure.

For the southbound I-25 closure, drivers can funnel into one lane just north of the County Line Road bridge and use the southbound I-25 off-and-on ramps at County Line Road bridge to navigate around the closure.

For access across the County Line Bridge, drivers are told to use the Colorado Highway 105 interchange, exit 161.
