Fatal crash on Highway 285 – cab of semi ripped off, falls down steep incline
MORRISON, Colo. (KRDO) -- The northbound lanes of Highway 285, just before Morrison, are closed following a semi-truck crash.
According to West Metro Fire, a semi-truck rolled over, separating the cab from the tank. The cab went off the road and down a steep incline off the road. The driver was ejected.
Colorado State Patrol and first responders are on the scene. Crews are waiting on Morrison police to arrive. No word on what caused the accident.
The name of the deceased has yet to be released.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area, and use Parmalee or Jeffco 73 as an alternate route.
