PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Officers responded to a crash early Saturday morning, after a car went off the road and destroyed two fences before hitting power poles.

According to police, it happened around 3:10 a.m. in the 1100 block of Troy Ave. When officers arrived, they found one of the poles was broken completely off and the other was damaged, but still standing.

Police said firefighters had to extricate the female driver from her car, after the driver's side door was crushed in the crash. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to police, alcohol and excessive speed are believed to be factors in the crash.
