DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A military armored personnel carrier (APC) fell off of a flatbed semi Thursday evening into the middle of C-470, just after I-25.

Colorado State Patrol

According to Colorado State Patrol Castle Rock, the APC fell off a semi around 6 p.m. and landed on its back on C-470 westbound. The APC caused significant traffic delays.

CSP worked with CDOT to safely remove the vehicle from the road to allow traffic to get by. It took roughly thirty minutes for crews to flip the APC back upright.

By 7:14 p.m., CDOT and CSP managed to move the APC out of the road, with help from the City of Lone Tree and their towing partners.
