One man in custody after attempted car robbery
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - A man was arrested after attempted car theft and assaulting an officer near Platte Avenue and Wahsatch Avenue on Sunday.
An American Medical Response crew saw the man in the middle of the street around 7 p.m. Sunday trying to get into parked cars. The man then walked to another business where he attempted to challenge people to a fight.
When a Colorado Springs police officer got to the scene, the man punched and kicked the officer. He was detained until more officers arrived where he was arrested and taken to jail.
