Gold Camp Road closed due to rockfall
El Paso County Search and Rescue says Gold Camp Road in the area of North Cheyenne Cañon Park is closed in between Tunnel One and Two until further notice.
A large boulder fell on the road and is blocking passage for cars. Officials say there is likely to be congestion as drivers turn around at the rockfall.
Friends of Cheyenne Canyon posted on Facebook saying they have no information on an expected time of removal.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area altogether. We'll continue to keep you updated as we learn more about the cleanup.
