New Veterinary Hospital breaks ground in Monument

MONUMENT, CO. (KRDO) - It's been a difficult time for many businesses during this pandemic as many have been forced to shut down. But two women are eliminating this stereotype as they open a new veterinary hospital in Monument.

Dr. Jessa Kocher and business partner and friend, Jessica Daniels are breaking ground on a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital Thursday.

The Fox Run Veterinary Hospital has been in the works for the past two years. Dr. Kocher says she never thought she would open a business during a pandemic, moreover have it be as successful as it has been.

"We are six months into being opened and we are slammed, we try to make sure we accommodate everyone, but it is hard," said Dr. Kocher.

Dr. Kocher believes this is because many are spending time at home a lot more and taking care of their pets.

Their new veterinary will feature the basic necessities such as wellness care, vaccinations, surgery and dentistry just to name a few. But, it will also feature some unique services such as luxury cat boarding, which is pretty much a daycare resort for cats.

The Fox Run Veterinary Hospital looks to officially open this fall.
