Pueblo shoppers will be joined by COVID-19 inspectors on Black Friday

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- On Black Friday, Pueblo health officials will be inspecting retailers throughout the community, making sure they are playing by the COVID-19 rules.

Pueblo County is currently under Safer at Home: Level Red COVID-19 restrictions. Retailers, both critical and non-critical, are limited to 50% capacity within their stores. The crowds must abide by social distancing guidelines as well.

All retailers must have a mechanism to gauge the amount of people entering a facility, enforce mask wearing, and exclude people not wearing a mask.

It is unclear what kind of punishment retailers could face should they chose to ignore the guidelines or restrictions.

KRDO will be speaking with one of these inspectors with further details. Full story will air tonight at 6 pm.

  1. Ok, Honestly do you want us to believe that there is enough CDPHE workers in this area to attempt to effect enforcement of these rules? We all know how under-staffed your division is and we know that you don’t have enough to handle the Pueblo Mall, let alone most or all of the businesses in Pueblo.

Go sell your crazies somewhere else; we’re all full here.

  2. Somebody should alert Mayor Han-Cock not to shop in Pueblo on his way back from his family gathering in Mississippi.

  3. Why is there no discussion of the ridiculousness of Congresswomen Boebert’s “Funeral Service” for her Thanksgiving Turkey. All so she can legally increase her guest list from 10 to 30. Bet CDPHE will not respond or react to her decisions.
