Sunday memorial marks 2nd anniversary since Kelsey Berreth’s death

WOODLAND PARK, Colo. (KRDO) - Community members gathered at Memorial Park Sunday afternoon to remember Kelsey Berreth on the second anniversary of her tragic death.
Berreth was killed by her fiancé Patrick Frazee in November 2018.
Sunday, people honored her life -- playing music, and giving speeches.
Raymond Siebring, who was Kelsey's supervisor at Doss Aviation in Pueblo, said she changed the lives of so many young Airmen she taught to fly. He said while Kelsey was small, she was fierce.
"She was in the cockpit with football players from the Air Force Academy and others that some might be intimidated with," explained Raymond Siebring, who was Kelsey's supervisor at Doss Aviation in Pueblo. "But I saw them get out of the cockpit, and the football players being intimidated by her."
Advocates for Kelsey's justice also begged that those responsible for her death stay behind bars.
"Krystal Lee Kenney is trying to get out of prison early again, and so we're trying to take steps to make that not happen," said organizer Kelli Shofstall.
Kelsey's fiancé Patrick Frazee was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for her murder, plus 156 years.
Frazee's former mistress, Krystal Lee Kenney, who admitted to helping Frazee destroy evidence, was sentenced to three years after cutting a plea deal with prosecutors for her testimony against him.
In June, Kenney was denied a request to be moved to a halfway house.
Kenney can request for her release every six months, and another hearing where she can do so is set for this Wednesday.
