Beautiful Colorado weather, big changes starting Friday
Tonight: Remaining mostly clear overnight with light winds and no chance of precipitation. Low temperatures will fall to near freezing levels, reaching 33 degrees in Colorado Springs and 32 in Pueblo.
Tuesday: The ridge of high pressure across the western United States will continue to build, brining Colorado plenty of sunshine and high temperatures well above average for mid-November. Colorado Springs will hit about 68 degrees and Pueblo to 70, light winds are expected during the day.
Extended: The I-25 corridor will hit near record high temperatures on Wednesday, combined with gusts to 30mph making for near critical fire weather conditions. Slight cooling for Thursday/Friday as a strong cold front makes it's approach for the weekend. We're still dealing with slight model disagreement on the exact timing of the system. Currently looking at the cold front to pass through central/southern Colorado Saturday afternoon into the evening. Most of the heavy snow accumulation will occur along I-70 and west of I-25 in the mountainous areas. Still, travel conditions will be impacted for valley locations as well, with potential brief heavy snow banding associated with the frontal passage. Stay tuned for updates.
