Colorado Springs police arrest armed robbery suspect

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Police arrested one man Tuesday after a series of robberies in Colorado Springs.

Between May 27 and June 9, officers responded to four businesses that were robbed by a lone suspect with a handgun. Detective identified the suspect in all four robberies as 33-year-old Frank Lopez.

Lopez was arrested Tuesday and booked into the El Paso County Jail. He's charged with four counts of aggravated robbery.

Police say the four robberies happened on the following dates and locations:

  • 5/27/2020, Subway (4435 Centennial Boulevard)
  • 5/31/2020, Marco's Pizza (4935 Centennial Boulevard)
  • 6/8/2020, Subway (1714 South Circle Drive)
  • 6/9/2020, 7 Eleven (201 West Fillmore Street)
