Pueblo School District 60 transitioning back to online learning

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Pueblo School District 60 announced Monday plans for students in Pre-K through 12th Grade to revert back to online-learning in phases.
Starting Wednesday, November 11, all D60 high schools will begin transitioning back to e-learning.
Students Pre-K through 8th Grade will begin e-learning following Thanksgiving Break on Monday, November 30.
“With more and more student cohorts and staff needing to quarantine, our school system has been significantly strained. We are unable to provide the necessary coverage to continue to operate our schools and provide in-person instruction to our students” Superintendent Charlotte Macaluso said.
Macaluso went on to say the recent surge of COVID-19 in the area continues to negatively impact schools and remote learning is necessary.
District leaders say this will more than likely stay in effect through the rest of the fall semester.
School District 49 in Falcon began transitioning to online-learning Monday for all students.
