Man shot and killed while driving in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo, (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs Police are investigating a deadly shooting in the 3400 block of Montebello Dr. around 7:40 p.m. Monday.

Police say a man and woman were driving in the area when another vehicle drove past them, firing shots into the car. The driver was hit and the car veered off the road before coming to a stop in the front yard of a house.

By the time police arrived the man had died. The woman was uninjured. Now investigators are interviewing neighbors who claim to have heard several gunshots.

Police are unsure whether the victims knew the shooter. At this time no suspect information has been released.
