COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - One national organization is providing virtual help for Coloradans struggling with addiction amid COVID-19.

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation has treated nearly 4,000 people through a program called RecoveryGo.org since its launched to everyone in Colorado in March.

The program consists of phone apps, virtual counseling, family programs and kid programs.

"It would help those who are not near treatment centers," Bob Poznanovich from Hazelden Betty Ford explained to KRDO. "Or times like this in the pandemic where it's just not safe to go to a facility based group care environment."

Poznanovich said, after a nine month trial, results show patients found the online method just as beneficial, if not more so.

The program has free resources, and resources covered by most insurance plans, according to Poznanovich. Click here for more information.
