Colorado Springs Police arrest 2 after hotel shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs Police arrested two men after a shooting at a hotel in the 700 block of North Nevada Avenue.

An officer responding to an unrelated call just after 10:30 p.m. Thursday heard gunshots and screaming coming from a nearby hotel.

At the scene, several people were running out of a hotel room. The officer was able to detain three people, according to CSPD.

Other officers arrived and found a man shot in the leg. He was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police and agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives found several firearms and drugs at the scene.

Police arrested Marcus Jones. Damond Birky was arrested for unrelated charges.
