Police respond to early morning shooting in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- CSPD officers responded to a call of a shooting in the area of Circle Drive and Platte Avenue early Saturday morning.

During their investigation, they discovered that a 25-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest was driven to a local hospital by a friend. The shooting victim, who was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, was unable to tell investigators where the shooting took place.

Police described the suspect as a "chubby" Hispanic male, about 5'10" tall, with short hair, wearing a blue hoodie and blue jeans. The investigation is still ongoing.
