PROWERS COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on Thursday along Highway 50 in Prowers County.

Around 11 p.m., troopers responded to a two-vehicle fatal crash on Highway 50, just west of Granada.

Investigators say 35-year-old Kelly Snyder was crossing into the westbound land when their vehicle crashed with a truck attached to a trailer. Snyder's car came to a final rest in the eastbound lane before being engulfed in flames.

Troopers say Snyder was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, 68-year-old Joseph Smith, was treated at the scene by the Prowers County Ambulance.

Colorado State Patrol is still investigating the crash and has not revealed the cause of the crash.
