Serious motorcycle crash closes Highway 96 in Pueblo County
PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a serious motorcycle crash on Highway 96 that left two people injured Wednesday evening.
Trooper say two people were riding on a motorcycle on Highway 96 when a deer ran in front of them. The two occupants were thrown off the motorcycle, sustaining serious injuries. One of the riders was wearing a helmet while the other was not, according to CSP.
Paramedics transported the two occupants to a nearby hospital as troopers closed the road in both directions. As of 9:30 p.m., the highway was open in both directions again.
