Rockies cancel game Thursday in solidarity with nationwide protests

DENVER (KRDO) -- After discussing as a group, the Colorado Rockies canceled a game scheduled for Thursday, "standing in solidarity with athletes and sports teams against social injustice."

The Colorado major league baseball team made the announcement on Twitter. They were scheduled to play against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks tweeted in response "We stand with our brothers at the @Rockies."

Earlier Thursday, the Denver Broncos also canceled a practice to discuss "social injustice events" in the wake of a police shooting of a Black man in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
