Man sent to hospital following Colorado Springs apartment shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - One person was taken to the hospital following an early morning shooting at an apartment complex in Colorado Springs.

The call came in around 5:30 a.m. Monday at the Elevate apartment complex on Crestone Ln. When police officers arrived they found a man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. At this time there is no known risk to the public.

No suspects have been identified. Anyone with any information on this shooting is asked to call the Colorado Springs Police Department at 719-444-7000, or Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP (7867).
