COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed that residents near Chapel Hills Mall heard two explosions Saturday evening.

Just before 10 p.m., CSPD says it received several calls reporting explosions near the mall on the north side of the city. Mall security reported seeing one explosion and hearing another. Upon further investigation, security also found a device that had exploded.

Officers arrived and located the seat of the second explosion. The investigation is ongoing but police say there seems to be no threat to the public. It's unclear if the devices are suspect or not.
