GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Firefighters in Colorado Springs are helping battle the Grizzly Creek Fire near Glenwood Springs, which is zero percent contained.

A brush truck from the Colorado Springs Fire Department was deployed at 6 a.m. Wednesday to help extinguish the flames in Glenwood Canyon. Three CSFD firefighters will provide aid for up to two weeks, a spokesperson said.

The Grizzly Creek Fire started on Monday and spread in multiple directions, prompting the closure of Interstate 70 recently.

About 211 personnel from multiple agencies are helping put out the wildfire, which is estimated at 3,702 acres so far. The fire is expected to keep growing due to the hot and dry winds.
