The Big Ten Conference won't be playing football this fall because of concerns about COVID-19, and reports say the Pac-12 also cancelled the fall football season on Tuesday.

The move comes six days after the Big Ten, which includes historic programs such as Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska and Penn State, had released a revised conference-only schedule that it hoped would help it navigate a fall season with potential COVID-19 disruptions.

Tuesday, a reporter with Yahoo Sports said that the Pac-12 aims to attempt a football season in the spring.

The Mountain West Conference also announced that its fall football season has been cancelled on Monday.
