COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The newest piece of downtown Colorado Springs' skyline and a one-of-a-kind Olympic experience is opening its doors to the public soon.

After years of planning and construction, the US Olympic & Paralympic Museum is officially opening next Thursday, July 30.

It features 12 galleries that go through the Olympic history and also feature a narrative through a Team USA athlete's career.

The 60,000-square-foot building is just north of Cimarron Street, off Sierra Madre Street. Prices range from about $15 for kids to $25 for most adults, and people who purchase memberships will get early access to secure tickets, according to the museum.
