The Week Ahead

Tonight: The Fire Weather Warnings that most of central/southern Colorado has been under today expire at 9pm. Gradually the strong winds will calm down overnight, becoming light at 5-10mph. Remaining mostly clear with no chance of precipitation and temperatures to 51 degrees in Colorado Springs, 56 degrees in Pueblo.

Monday: Plenty of sunshine to start the day with temperatures pushing about 5 degrees above average for early June. Reaching 80 degrees in Colorado Springs and 88 in Pueblo. By mid to late afternoon expect increasing winds and cloud coverage associated with an approaching cold front. Fire Weather Warnings and Watches are again in effect for much of southeastern Colorado throughout the afternoon. The cold front will sweep through the state during the early evening hours, transporting isolated showers and even a few snow flurries into the higher elevations overnight into Tuesday morning.

Extended: Scattered rain showers continuing through Tuesday morning with clearing conditions during the afternoon. Temperature Tuesday significantly cooler than what we've become accustomed to, only into the 60s and low 70s for Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Wednesday through Friday expect predominantly sunny skies with temperatures returning to the 80s and 90s with light winds. Just a beautiful latter half of the workweek for southern Colorado.
