Scattered t-storms tonight with near record highs next week

Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely this evening along the I-25 corridor. The severity of the t-storms looks relatively low, but we can't rule out the potential for small hail and lightning associated with a few of the storms tonight. Precipitation will come to an end after 10pm with cloud coverage gradual clearing through the overnight hours. Temperatures remaining seasonal, down to 47 degrees in Colorado Springs and 50 degrees in Pueblo.

Sunday: Plenty of morning sunshine helping temperatures push into the mid 70s in Colorado Springs and low 80s across HWY 50. Winds will pick up during the early afternoon with gusts to about 25mph in central/southern Colorado. Another round of isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms is possible, but the coverage and severity will remain low. Just keep an eye on the sky, if you do start receiving precipitation, wait 20 minutes and it'll clear up.

Extended: Temperature warming sharply to start the week. Colorado Springs will be sitting a few degrees away from a record high as we will reach into the mid to high 80s Monday afternoon with no chance of precipitation. Afternoon convective showers starting back up Tuesday afternoon and continuing on Wednesday.
