Return of sunshine before a rainy weekend

Tonight: The isolated showers and breezy winds will begin tappering off after 7pm in Central Colorado. Gradually turning mostly clear with temperatures reaching into the mid 40s in Colorado springs and high 40s along HWY 50.

Wednesday: Plenty of sunshine to start the day helping temperatures warm into the high 70s in Colorado Springs and low 80s in Pueblo. Winds again turning breezy during the afternoon hours with gusts to 25mph along the I-25 corridor and for the high country, prompting the National Weather Service to issue Fire Weather Warnings for the majority of southern Colorado. No chance of precipitation through the day.

Extended: Slight cooling trend as we head into the latter half of the week, temperatures should still hit into the high 60s in Colorado Springs but precipitation chances will start late Thursday night and carry over into Friday and Saturday. Gradually clearing for our Sunday forecast.
