Slight warming trend before a cooler Friday

Tonight: A few isolated showers are possible this evening in central/southern Colorado, but just like the last few days, the vast majority of us will stay dry. Mostly clear skies overnight with temperatures dropping into the high 30s along the I-25 corridor. The National Weather Service has issued Frost Advisories in Kit Carson/Cheyenne Counties as temperatures could hit freezing. Meaning sensitive vegetation might be effected.

Wednesday: Plenty of morning sunshine helping temperatures warm into the high 60s and mid 70s for Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Increasing cloud coverage by early afternoon with winds picking up as well. Gusts to about 25mph prompting elevated fire weather concerns, especially in far southern Colorado as a few Red Flag Warnings are in effect during the afternoon.

Extended: Further warming is expected on Thursday with the approach of a cold front from the north. Fire Weather Watches are in effect for the majority of the I-25 corridor Thursday afternoon. Cold frontal passage will happen late Thursday or early Friday, cooling high temperatures into the 50s for Friday afternoon in Colorado Springs and bringing a few isolated rain showers.
