Spring-like temperatures return to southern Colorado

Tonight: Isolated showers in central/southern Colorado are again possible this evening. Very similar to the past few weeks with the overall low coverage and low severity of precipitation, just a spotty shower or two. Strong winds have contributed to critical fire weather for Fremont County and the San Luis Valley. The winds will begin to calm down after 7pm and become light during the overnight hours. Temperatures reaching into the low 40s in Colorado Springs and mid 40s in Pueblo.

Tuesday: Newest computer model runs have backed off on precipitation chances for Tuesday afternoon, so expect to see a mostly dry day with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be slightly cooler than what we've become accustomed to, only into the mid 60s in Colorado Springs and closer to 70s along HWY 50 with light winds.

Extended: Relatively dry trend through the mid-week forecast, temperatures warming back up again for Wednesday and Thursday with highs into the 70s. Keep an eye out for this upcoming weekend forecast, another cold front is looking to drop into Colorado late Thursday night which will bring cooler temperatures and scattered showers Friday/Saturday.
