COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The film program at the Academy for Advanced and Creative Learning in District 11 wanted to find a way to lift the spirits of students and staff alike during the time of e-learning.

Thursday, they shared the poignant film below.

The two minute film opens with a teacher, Anthony Szpak, somberly watching News Channel 13 as KRDO's own Brynn Carman and Josh Helmuth deliver the news that distance learning would continue for another few weeks.

"Our school's film program (Geek Think Films) created a movie about the times we live in. I am hoping that others will find it uplifting," said Jim Cline, another AcademyACL teacher in the film, in an email to KRDO.

As the video goes on, we see a teacher's online assignment inbox, with only a couple students having turned in their homework. Determined, Cline gets in his car and drives all over town to help his students with the assignment.

From over six feet away he poses the question written on poster board:

2x + 10 = 14; x = ?

His students respond with the correct answer by holding up two fingers in a peace sign. Soon, we see people from across the country spreading peace sign as they practice social distancing and learning from home.
